SOCIAL THREEFOLDING

Social Threefolding is a concept coined in 1919 by Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925) and relates to the organization of any form of enterprise, be it a company, a foundation, a community, or a country, drawing a parallel with the human organism.

Therefore, it is assumed that any organization such as those mentioned above is a living organism and thus becomes a Social Organism.

The paradigm shift consists of understanding that a venture is developed to meet a need in the community, not to maximize profit, as is currently thought based on the current economic system, which is leading the world into an increasingly complicated and dead-end situation. This does not mean that a venture cannot make a profit, but it cannot be the main objective.

Anthroposophy, or spiritual science, created by Rudolf Steiner, offers a series of additional tools to complement the work with entrepreneurs, such as astrosophy, biography, the fourfold nature of the human being and how it relates to the management of a company, the seven life processes, etc. The fundamental thing is to work on changing the switch from a materialistic conception of a company to another that is a living social organism.

The basis of Social Threefolding is the Rudolf Steiner’s economics course, in which he sets out the Fundamental Social Law, on which any anthroposophical community should be based. SEE MORE
